What IQFood is
IQFood is a nutrition and metabolism tracking app: you log meals, weight, and daily check-ins, and the app computes personalized estimates of how your body responds. By creating an account or using the app or this website you agree to these terms. Joining the website waitlist only meant that we could email you about IQFood's launch; you can opt out anytime.
Not medical advice
IQFood describes and forecasts; it does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. The glucose, insulin, ketone, energy, and related curves are model-based estimates computed from what you log, not measurements, and can differ from your real physiology. IQFood is not a medical device. Always consult a qualified professional for medical decisions, and never disregard medical advice because of something shown in the app.
Your account
You must be at least 16 to use IQFood. Keep your credentials safe: you are responsible for activity on your account. Provide accurate information: the estimates are only as good as what you enter.
IQFood Premium and free Premium
IQFood Premium adds AI meal logging (photo, voice and chat) and, on Android, reading your lab values into your log. Everything else (the metabolic engine, curves, charts, insights, weights, check-ins, friends and chat, Trainer Mode and barcode scanning) is free.
New accounts get free Premium time from IQFood, with no payment details:
- Founding members (accounts created while our founding offer is open) get 180 days of free Premium automatically, counted from the day the account was created.
- Accounts created after the founding offer closes get 14 days of free Premium.
Free Premium is provided by IQFood. It is not a free trial in Google Play or the App Store, and it never turns into a paid subscription by itself: nothing is charged automatically when it ends. To keep Premium after that, you choose a plan and subscribe; if you do not, the free features keep working. The founding offer has no fixed closing date. When it closes, we will publish the closing date and time at www.iqfood.app/pricing/; accounts created before then remain founding members. If you subscribe while you still have free Premium, your paid period starts on the day you buy and the remaining free days are not added to it.
Without an account you may be able to try a limited number of AI logs, and you may subscribe; the subscription stays with you when you then create an account.
Subscriptions
- Premium is sold as auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscriptions through Google Play (Android) and the App Store (iPhone). The price, currency and billing period are shown in the store's purchase sheet before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Google or Apple account when you confirm the purchase. Google or Apple processes the payment and bills every renewal.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You manage and cancel your subscription in the store: on Android in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. After you cancel, Premium stays on until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Uninstalling the app or deleting your IQFood account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
- A subscription belongs to the IQFood account it was bought with and cannot be shared with another IQFood account.
Founding price
Founding members may subscribe at the founding price: in Romania 24.99 lei a month or 159.99 lei a year; in other countries, the local founding price shown in your store. The standard price is 34.99 lei a month or 229.99 lei a year in Romania, or the local standard price shown in your store elsewhere.
Each founding account can take the founding price until 30 days after its own free Premium ends; the app shows the date. Once you subscribe at the founding price, you keep it as long as the subscription stays active. If the subscription ends (for example because you cancelled it and the paid period ran out, or because a payment failed and the store ended it), the founding price ends with it, and after your 30-day window a new subscription is at the standard price.
Partner codes
A partner we work with (for example a creator, a coach or a gym) may give you an IQFood partner code or link. If you open a partner link or enter a partner code, we record it on your account. Only one partner can be linked to an account: the first partner code or partner link recorded on it. A later code does not replace it. You can add a partner code within 30 days of creating your account and before your first purchase.
Partners may be compensated by IQFood for subscriptions made with their code or link. They never see who you are (see our Privacy Policy).
Where a partner offer is available, its price and period are shown in the store before you buy, depend on the store's eligibility rules (for example, they may not be available if you already have a subscription) and cannot be combined with the founding price.
IQFood Partners program
Creators, coaches, nutrition professionals, brands, communities and gyms can apply to promote IQFood at iqfood.app/partners. Partners are independent: they sign a separate agreement, choose their own words and must mark their content as advertising. Partners in a regulated profession, for example doctors or dietitians, confirm in their agreement that their own professional rules allow paid promotion. If you see IQFood promoted without a clear advertising label, or with claims that IQFood diagnoses, treats or measures anything, please tell us at partnerships@iqfood.app.
Price changes
We may change our prices for new subscribers; the price that applies to you is the one shown in the store before you buy. If the price of an existing subscription changes, the store tells you in advance under its rules and, where its rules require it, asks for your agreement before the new price applies; you can cancel before it does. An active founding-price subscription keeps the founding price, and a partner introductory price lasts for its stated period.
Refunds and the right of withdrawal
Subscriptions are bought from and billed by Google Play or the App Store, so purchases, cancellations, refunds and withdrawals are handled by the store under its own terms and the law that applies to it. IQFood cannot refund a store purchase directly. You can request a refund from Google Play or from Apple. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have a right of withdrawal under the law of your country; such requests are handled by the store you bought from. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have by law.
Your content
You own what you log and post. You grant us the license needed to store, process, and display that content in order to run the service, including showing your stories and messages to the connections you shared them with. Stories expire 24 hours after posting.
Acceptable use
Do not use IQFood to post unlawful, abusive, or harmful content, to impersonate others, to harass, or to interfere with the service (including scraping or reverse engineering). We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Coaches
Coaches on IQFood are independent: they are not our employees and we do not supervise their advice. Sharing your data with a coach is your choice, controlled by a grant you can revoke in the app at any time.
Termination
You can stop using IQFood and delete your account at any time in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription (see "Subscriptions"). We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, with notice where required by law.
Intellectual property
The app, the website, and their content (other than what you create) are ours or our licensors’ and are protected by law. These terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
If you downloaded IQFood from the App Store
These terms are between you and IQFood, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. You may use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store usage rules. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. IQFood, not Apple, is responsible for handling any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app does not meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that the app infringes someone else's intellectual property. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for IQFood in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and EU consumers keep all mandatory statutory rights.
Changes to IQFood and these terms
We provide updates needed to keep IQFood in conformity with your contract, including security updates. We may also change the service, at no additional cost, to maintain compatibility with operating systems or app-store technical requirements, adapt to legal requirements, improve existing functions or add new functions. We shall explain relevant changes clearly.
If a change beyond what is needed to maintain conformity has a more than minor negative impact on your access to or use of IQFood, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. The notice will describe the change, its effective date and how to exercise your rights.
You may terminate the affected contract free of charge within 30 days after receiving the notice or after the change takes effect, whichever is later. This right does not apply if we let you keep the unchanged service, without additional cost, and it remains in conformity with your contract. If you choose to terminate, any refund due under applicable law will include prepaid fees for the unused period. Contact support@iqfood.app to exercise this right; we will assist with any necessary app-store procedure.
We may update these terms to reflect legal requirements or service changes permitted above. We shall explain the reason, effect and effective date of changes affecting your rights or obligations. Other material changes to an existing contract require your express agreement. Continuing to use IQFood does not, by itself, mean that you accept new contractual obligations. This section does not authorise price increases or limit your statutory rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are an EU consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
